“Boys Don’t Cry” is not just a movie title. People walk around believing this. Why shouldn’t boys cry? Boys are human beings. Human beings are meant to cry when sad.
Not crying doesn’t mean you are emotionally strong. It means you are not so expressive. It could also mean you are afraid to be vulnerable. You need strength to be weak.
Question: Is there a medal for people that REFUSE to cry?
Charles Dickens in “Oliver Twist” listed four benefits of crying. (Yea, it is not in the abridged version.) Here goes: ‘It opens the lungs, washes the countenance, exercises the eyes, and softens down the temper.”
It’s really dumb to say a group of people shouldn’t cry because of sex organs, don’t your think?
